Our First Rest Day At Snowy For Term 3 Print

Yesterday’s quote of the day:
We have a ‘strategic’ plan, it’s called doing things.

Yesterday was our first rest day. Half the group went on a day hike down to the beach. We walked along a scenic trail through the bush and down to the beach. Once on the beach we walked to a nice area at the edge of the Yeerung River to have a swim and eat lunch. The water was freezing and we all had a great time! Afterwards we packed up and walked along another beautiful trail back to our busses. Everyone was tired but we had a fantastic time. The other half of the group went down to the Marlo pier to do a spot of fishing. We did manage to catch two fish while we were down there and the weather held off as well. It was an all-round great day of fishing.

First Rest Day at Snowy

The evening class/DEARR was spirt spot down on the sand dunes. We walked through zone 4 and to the beach. We all then found a nice spot to sit looking over the beach. Spirit spot involved focusing on your senses. Everyone wrote about what they felt, heard, saw, tasted and smelt.

Night class was Our Place Collage. Our student leaders (Jake and Mia) took on the challenge of running the class. We worked in our school group teams to make posters about where we have all come from. We wrote about population, fun facts, history etc of the various places and at the end showed on a map the area we were talking about and our poster that we had made.
