Hey I’m Juanita from Roxburgh College.  Yesterday on the 21/11/10 1B had raft building. Basically your group is given a bunch of rope, logs and barrels and instructed to build a raft that will carry you all (ten people) to the other side of the water in order to find a map and get the treasure!

1B were the first group to have raft building and we did well until the raft got in the water. The barrels we had tied underneath had popped out and floated away making one side of the raft sink. Ben and Jack were kicked off the raft so that they could save us all by pulling the raft to safe, dry land. Once on land we found the maps with great navigation from Delaney and recovered the sweet icy treasure.  It was quite fun especially because we were dressed as pirates including the beard and makeup. People walking past thought it was quite funny to see. Not only did we sink but we were also shown up by eight year olds. Kids from the local cubs were there also and had made a raft too. They made it across and back with no problems. Oh well it was a great day!
