On Sunday 17th of October our time came to be student leaders. We started the day off by having the staff meeting and talking on the HD TV to the Gnurad and Alpine Campuses, we exchanged our goals and explained who we were and where we are from. We started our first briefing in front of the community after breakfast, we told the community what the weather was going to be like, students/staff of success and explained the program for the day.

Our community goal was to get through the head count quickly and efficiently first time around, every time. It was good to see that everyone respected our goal and achieved it at the first headcount for the day. That day we (2B) had Peer skills, we learnt how to listen to people and a lot about what we can do to make people more comfortable. In the afternoon lesson we had CPR, we learnt the basic DR ABCD rules. We also had a practice on the manikins.

In the evening lesson we had the bush dance. We both had to practice a little bit so we could show the community what to do. We did the heel toe, barnyard and the bush dance. We were a bit nervous but once we got out there and did it and everyone joined it was very fun!!! It was very good that everyone respected us and we both can’t wait until we are student leaders again!!! THANKS SNOWY RIVER CAMPUS!
