It is the 26th of February and it is day 26 out of 56. 2 days ago 2A got back from our first expo.

On the 23rd of Feb we set off on our journey starting at the Yeerung River and walking about 9km along the beach until we reached our destination at Dock Inlet. This was where we set up camp. After a long hard day of walking in 30 degree weather we all got to go down to the beach and have a nice, relaxing swim. Time came around to quickly when the breeze kicked in and the water was getting cold, we jumped out and headed back up to our camping area. We sat in a circle with our trangias, cooked tea and got eaten alive by mosquitos. That didn’t stop any of us though when we headed back down the beach to watch the sunset and review on our day. Only then the worse part of the expo came, the rain. Once again we walked back to our camp and finished our review. That was the point when everyone was dead tired and went to bed. Day 2 of expo one- 6:30 came around to quickly when Sam and Jordan ran around to everyone’s tent and shook them like you wouldn’t believe.

Well I guess we had to pack up, as we only had half an hour until breakfast and headed off for our last experience of the journey. When it came to swapping roles we all gathered in a circle and had a little ceremony. That started, day 2 of 2A’s expo. Even though it took us about 15-20 mins to pack up the toilet nothing stopped us. About 5km into our land hike we came across a red belly black snake, but it didn’t harm anyone. Another kilometre went by and we nearly got lost. But nothing stopped 2A. We found our way and arrived at our destination, back at the Yeerung at about 1:00pm. That was the end of our first journey together and it was amazing.
