Yesterday we were student leaders. It was step up day, which meant that we had to take on more leadership  roles as the teachers weren't allowed to do anything for us. There were no duties organised, so, prior to step up day we had organise a table of who was doing which duties.

Xan's personal goal was to speak up more. Throughout the day he tried to make more announcements to the group and he thinks that he did a better job yesterday than the first time he was student leader.

Bek's personal goal was to be more social and spend less time in her room. She only went in her room to put things away and get ready for class, and the remainder of the time she spent in the common room and wings chatting, socialising and playing games with people. She thinks that she completed her goal.

Our community goal was to run the duties smoothly and make sure step up day was going well. The duties went fine. Everyone had a good time doing duties with different people for a change, and there weren't any problems at all throughout the day.

As student leaders, we think we did a good job. Yesterday, Bek enjoyed doing the creative side of her passport, and we both loved the barbecue dinner that was prepared by some of the other students!

In conclusion, step up day was a success and we are looking forward to hopefully running similar days in the rest of the program! :)
